I'm finishing up a wonderful two weeks at home... and, of course, I still have to finish packing. My flight leaves at 3:10 tomorrow, so I should be "home" by 6:30 or 7. And then back to work on Thursday. :( Sigh.

Since I've been home, I've bought a new cell phone and a new camera. I love having new toys to play with. I got my hair cut and my highlights redone... I managed to see just about everybody I wanted to, I think, though maybe not as much as I wanted. I convinced Charlie to come for the weekend, and then I barely got to see him because I was busy doing wedding stuff. I kinda felt bad. But at least I got to see him at all. It's hard to leave again. But nothing's really changed since I left, there's still nothing here for me.

I had an awesome time with Brannon over the weekend, and I'm looking forward to her coming in September. She'll be the best roommate ever. :) I'm starting to look at grad schools for graphic design. But I can't seem to find any programs in NY that are focused on website design; it's all commercial and advertising. Which isn't really what I want. But I'll keep looking.

I had a doctor's appointment while I was home and discussed some issues I've been having with my medication. I haven't really been happy with it lately. I think a lot of my sleepiness has been a side-effect, plus the weight gain. It really pisses me off to think that I've gained 30 pounds since I started taking it in high school. So she recommended an alternative and gave me some samples and a prescription to fill if I decide to stay on it. I've been taking half my normal dosage of Paxil for about a week, and I think it has cut back on the sleepiness. Next I start taking half the dosage for my new med every day and half-Paxil every other day, for a week. Then the full dosage of the new med every day and no more Paxil. I hope it works.

I hate having to leave Lucy again. But dad and Charlie are talking about coming to visit in August. Maybe I'll have my new apartment by then, in preparation of Brannon's arrival, and they can bring my kitty with them. That would be nice.

I guess I'll go and try to finish packing. Blah.

I have a whole list of things to write about, but I want to get to bed. So here are the topics I'm saving for later: being forced to work at work, central park and fun on the train, wedding woes, my trip home, wanting to take classes, dad fixing my car, and being emailed this incredibly adorable picture of my cat.

In parting, two quick anecdotes. First, I finally finished copyediting that book I started months ago for my internship (more on that later) and dropped it off this morning. At lunch, I realized I left my last paycheck inside the cover. Go me. And finally, for your enjoyment, an excerpt from my most recent conversation with Brannon:

Brannon: wait robin said something about "moving to ga" what did she mean by this???
    Me: They're moving to Marietta.
Brannon: oh god really? for back-whack school?
Me: OMG, I wish I could blog that!
After further thought, I decided I could. And with that, good night!
