Apparently, a woman who's thin and pretty can wear anything she damn well pleases and be called stylish. I mean, really. Blue plaid capris and a red and purple print knotted-at-the-waist shirt? I would vomit. posted 11:05 PM / post / view (2) 11/27/2005 So I'm supposed to be moving in a little over a month, and as yet have no job, no place to stay, and I haven't started packing my apartment. Which means I have a little over a month to do all those things and work 45-50 hours a week as well. So I'm stressed and have about zero self-confidence, and, as Marvin often says, I'm feeling very depressed. posted 2:31 AM / post / view (2) 11/19/2005 Working 45-50 hours a week suuuuucks. I decided to move to New York in January and I'm busy trying to not think about it. If I do, I'll freak out and not go 'cause it's effing scary. But I need to. God, I so need to. I don't care if I end up hating it or don't find a job; I'll just come back and regroup. But at least I'll know I tried something different for once. I had a two hour dinner with my mom and grandmother Thursday. I made an interesting discovery sometime after hearing grandma's "plane ride from hell" story for the fifth time in the last two months. Having a drink really helps. Just saying. I thank God that next week will be short. Thanksgiving is usually my least favorite holiday, but hey, even if mom gets crabby like usual, at least I won't be working. Grandma just turned 88, by the way. And I swear she hasn't changed at all in the last 20 years. Allrighty then. Off to bed. Or something. |
