11/27/2003 This semester has been, by far, the craziest I've ever had. I'm not quite sure how it happened. But let's see if I can summarize. I'm currently going to class (and hardly ever skipping, thank you), working two jobs, taking care of my kitten, trying to plan a trip to Scotland without being able to talk to the person I'm going to visit hardly at all, worrying about my family and their problems (though they seem to be better now), and trying not to feel jealous of two of my best friends for being sickeningly happy together because I've been without a significant other for too long. Yeah, that's pretty much where I'm at. I'm now officially working for my father's company doing book-keeping. Wahoo. But it's not too difficult and it pays well, so I'm happy. 'Cause I finally have extra money. My friends may now rejoice because they'll be getting actual Christmas presents. :) And starting this week, I went back to work at the old doctors' office because their file clerk has had a relapse of her leukemia, and they've gotten way behind on their paperwork while she is understandably absent. I had to increase my meds a little a week or two ago. The old dosage was just not working as well as it used to... But that kind of makes sense; I was only 16 when I started taking it. Sometimes as you get older, or the longer you take something, the more you need for it to be effective. Not that I'm a drug addict or something. I'm still not taking very much, comparatively speaking. :) Ellie, I really wanted to call you today! And I tried, but apparently, our home phone isn't set up for international calling. I tried both numbers, but I just kept getting a beeping noise, like a busy signal only faster. But I'm still trying to find a way to call, I promise. I was very sad I wasn't able to get through... :( I miss you lots! I saw Anna Belle last night when Charlie dragged me out bowling. She looks really good! I hadn't really seen her in a couple years. Anyway... That's about everything. I think I'll go play with Lucy now, she's been whining at me for a bit. :) Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! |
