I got up at 6 AM and dragged Melanie out of bed to go yardsaling with me for furniture. It's weird seeing the sun come up. I was definitely not in a very good mood most of the time 'cause we kept stopping and not finding anything useful at all, but finally we found two good ones. At the first one, we found a good dresser for $25. That was nice. And the last one had really nice stuff but nothing we really needed; they had this absolutely gorgeous queen size cherry sleigh bed and matching nightstands and dresser and stuff, all for $1500. Sooo pretty. But oh well.

Then I came home and we had breakfast with mom and dad (well, Mel did), and I took her home. And came back and went to sleep. Ahhh. After a few hours, I got up again 'cause I was really hungry. Basically wandered around the house for an hour or two. And then I decided to go out look for cheap desks at Office Max and Office Depot. I found a good possibility at Office Max; the right size, not bad looking, and $60. Not real wood, of course, but then I don't really need anything fantastic. So I went on to Office Depot to see what they had, and I was kind of surprised. I didn't really like their selection as much; it wasn't as well organized or well labeled, and I could swear I saw the same desk at both places, but the one at Office Max was $30 cheaper.

Then I came back home and looked up ads for double mattresses in The Bulletin Board and found a pretty good deal for one that's being sold right on my street. Yay. So I called and left a message.

Now it's just time to wait on dinner and then I'm going to see a movie at the cheap theater with Ellie. Yay!

Whew. So that's my day. And it's not over yet.

I still don't have a job. I don't miss the not-working part, but I definitely miss the not-having-any-money part. That really sucks. But I have only a few more days of freedom before I have to start my summer classes. Every week day of June, I'll have class from 7:30 to 12:30. Argh. I need to go buy my books, come to think of it.

I've tried hard to do nothing during my vacation so far, and I think I'm succeeding pretty darn well. My birthday was pretty good (my Robin even stuck around for it!). I've been spending lots of time with Melanie. But I need to spend more time with Ellie before she goes away again! I really do want to, I swear! :)

I heard that Brannon was in a car accident but is okay. Next time I see her online, I need to say hi. I'm not keeping up with people as well as I should be. And it should come as no surprise that I'm still not completely unpacked.

I drove with Melanie to Dothan today so she could register for her summer class. And that was looong, boring drive. The highlights of the trip were as follows: (1) We passed a sign that said "OCAP" and I managed to convince her that she was just blind or dyslexic and it really said "CAPO," (2) I at one point said, "Oh, wow, a tanker of milk. That's kinda cool." and (3) I discovered the very interesting fact that you can make Melanie yawn just by telling her to. Very amusing.

So that was my day. Now for sleeeeep.

I'm all moved out of the dorms now, and I'm never going back. Except to visit, that is. I even got a nice little letter from Residential Life saying I was cleared to live at home, so that's that. I also got a phone bill for 53 cents... For calls I know I didn't make. Rooooobiiiiin...? You owe me 53 cents!!

*cough*

Just kidding. I think I can afford that much.

I took my environmental science final, and it wasn't too bad. It was on all 20 chapters, though. Ick. But it was basically just 50 terms that we had to define, and I did all but three. So I should be fine, assuming my answers are okay.

I also went to try and sell back a couple of my books, and of course couldn't. One got a new edition out in March and the other one did, too, at some time or another. So I'm stuck with two more books I'll never use again. Maybe I'll burn 'em.

All I have left to do is go back to the dorm tomorrow, at... well, I don't know when, maybe 2:30? And check out of the room with the RA, and then it's officially over. Well. Until I start summer classes in June, anyway. Argh.

I went and saw the new X-Men movie tonight with Ellie, and it was quite good. So, yay. And now I have a headache so I'm gonna go.

So... I dyed my hair red. I hooked up my webcam so I could try and take pictures (as my digital camera is not with me at the moment), but of course, the quality's not so good. But I uploaded them anyway, here's one and two. Enjoy.

I finally watched Brazil (and took notes, even!), so I can write my essay tomorrow. It's due on Tuesday. I thought it was Thursday, but no, our exam is on Thursday, sooo... Yeah.

I should go to bed. I have to get up in about 8 hours. So if I go to bed now, that should be perfect. But I'm sure I won't. Nope. Too easy that way. I'll probably play solitaire for an hour. Hm.

Not feeling terribly coherent right now, so, buhbye.

Oh, and the last post is actually from 5/1/03 at 11:57 pm.

This week sucked ass.

Is it just me, or do a lot of my weeks seem to suck ass lately? But finals start next week, and it will all be over soon.... *sigh*

Just to catch up, in case anyone cares: I got sick, had a couple of panic attacks, worried about my brother 'cause he was put in the hospital, and cursed my environmental science teacher like you would not believe. Sooo... what have I learned? Dad needs to keep the thermostat lower than freakin' 78 during the summer so I'll stop getting sick every time I come home, I probably need to go back to the Paxil so I can stop having random bouts of anxiety, and Charlie's got mono and acute tonsilitis. Oh, and my enviro prof is a dick.

Thanks for stopping by. And if you'd like to brighten my day and buy me a birthday present from Amazon or Deep Discount DVDs, it'd be much appreciated.
