"I'll give him some loving, 'cause you're not giving him anything."

"I gave him a s'more!"

Funny quote for the day. That is all.

Now that the internet is going fast again like it's supposed to, I finally was able to finish the inkblot test. So here are the results (and wow, are they a surprise...):

Cathy, your unconscious mind is driven most by kindness.

This means you have a deep desire to be kind and fair to others. You may even be preoccupied with finding kindness in the world around you, far more than you realize on a conscious level.

It is possible that the underlying reason you seek kindness in the world around you, is that you fear cruelty, the opposite of kindness. That could drive you to unconsciously project kindness wherever possible into your world. Regardless of its origin, your steadfast adherence to being kind to others is felt by people you are close to.

You are probably more susceptible than others to being overwhelmed by emotions — both yours and others'. It is possible that your unusually empathic nature is a result of your natural sensitivity to others' pain, and your desire to help them avoid it. For this reason, things might affect you more than they affect your friends and family. To protect yourself from too much emotional intensity, you might want to keep an eye out so you can recognize it when it starts. That will allow you to slow things down until you feel grounded again.

Overall, your strong orientation towards kindness gives you an optimistic nature, which translates into you seeing the best in the people around you. Because you're not one to be overly judgmental, others may seek out your company when they need a friend to talk to. People close to you likely know that you care deeply about the inner lives of others and can listen to what they have to say without imposing your views on them.

Work seemed sooo long today. I went in an hour early so I could leave at 4 instead of 5, but no, not so much. Instead, I just ended up working an extra hour. I was doing well up until about 3:30 or so, and then I got a huge pile of dictations to file.... So I decided to go ahead and try and finish those; I still hadn't finished what I had by 5, and when I went to put the rest back in the tray, there was a whole new stack, just waiting for tomorrow. Phooey.

I wonder if that counts as overtime. Hmm.....

If Robin doesn't get her butt back here with my boyfriend soon so I can eat, I will be very unhappy. Argh!

*cough* Bye now.

Wow. I've become so incredibly lazy that I can't even bring myself to blog. How sad is that?

But. Congratulations are in order for two of the bestest roommates in the world, Brannon and Robin, who landed the two female leads in Shakespeare's Two Gentlemen of Verona. And also for Robin receiving a callback for Tuesday for the part of Sally Bowls in Cabaret. ^_^ YAY! And lastly, a late happy birthday to Rebecca! The first of us to turn 20!

And moving on to the academic world.... I registered for spring semester. I will be taking English Lit., Environmental Science, LAS Beauty, and Shakespeare's Tragedies. My usual 12 hours, of course. ^_^ And I believe I will be taking a course on European Medieval History over JanTerm. So that should be interesting. As for current classes, I appear to be doing fine... I finished the rough draft of my research paper for English Lit. and apparently it's perfect the way it is, only I somehow need to come up with about 4 more pages. Hmm. Interesting. But I'll figure it out. I need to start thinking about my American Lit. paper, too, which will be due in a few weeks. That's about all, though, which leaves me a lot of extra time. But fortunately, I got a job, so I'm making money during all that free time. ^_^ My first paycheck, which I got Friday, was a lot more than I thought it would be; $204 instead of about $150. So I was very happy.

I'm very proud of myself, I actually started my Christmas shopping already. I have Robin's (which will require a little work), Ellie's, and Brannon's. And I know what I'm getting for Trey and for my mom. I still need to get Charlie's birthday present, though, but I do know what I'm getting, I just have to go pick it up. And then figure out what to get him for Christmas, too. Bah. Oh well.

Off to do English Lit. homework now. Oh joy.
