8/28/2002 Yesterday afternoon, we took Brannon to Cheveux Salon to have her hair cut off. She decided ages ago to donate her hair to Locks of Love, and she finally did it. This should give you an indication of just how long her hair was. The stylist divided it into four parts and rubber banded them, then cut it right off. She had to change scissors because the first pair wasn't sharp enough. Robin even videotaped the whole thing; it's pretty funny. Here's Brannon holding her hair. ^_^ Once the stylist was finished, it looked great! Brannon actually looks her age now. She and Robin posed for a final picture outside the salon. Looks good, doesn't it? ^_^When I was transferring those from my camera, I found this picture of the country club that I took about a month ago. I really like it. And I took a picture of the little kitty Melanie gave me for a late birthday present. ^_^ It's so cute! Looks real, doesn't it? ^_^ Heehee.... posted 8:21 PM / post 8/25/2002 After my 10 year old Panasonic decided to eat one of Robin's tapes, I decided it was time to invest in a new TV for the dorm. So I picked one up at Walmart while we were out. It seems perfectly nice so far, and it was only $140 (13 inch, tv/vcr by Philips). Happyhappyjoyjoy. Anyway. Hall meeting soon, so must go.posted 11:06 PM / post I'm all moved in and almost unpacked. It's been a long day. I haven't blogged lately because there's been nothing to say. Except for Slept all day today. Managed to get dressed around 5 to go out to McDonald's and get dinner. Nap time now, see ya. And let's face it, that's just not very interesting.I'm so glad to be back with my roommates. I really missed them! I found some pictures on my camera; I'll try to remember to upload them. Now I need to finish getting my stuff situated, so more later. posted 6:28 PM / post 8/24/2002 Regularly scheduled programming will resume shortly.posted 8:21 PM / post 8/5/2002 Ellie and I rented movies Saturday night and stayed up watching them until about 4 am. We haven't done that in a long time. ^_^ I'm not going to say what the first one was... ::cough:: But we watched Amelie, which I loved, and The Royal Tenenbaums, which was a little odd, but good; all in all, I liked it.I got my Gateway back on Friday, but stupid me, I forgot that the tech team would install the same Windows on the new hard drive that they did on the old one... Which means, certain elements are still disabled, and I still can't play the Sims on it. So. I'm gonna install real Windows on my second hard drive and dual boot. Assuming that Win 98 can handle that. I guess we'll see. Mom is leaving Tuesday morning to take grandma to see the Biltmore estate. They won't be back until sometime Friday evening, I think. So she won't get to say goodbye, Ellie. :( Unless you come over tonight. Oh well. Anyway. And grandma's freaking out because her house is falling apart. It appears to be sinking. She can't open her front door anymore; technically, I think the door can be opened, but she can't open it, since she's, you know, 85 years old and a little bit frail. And there are cracks. I haven't seen them, but mom says they're pretty bad. I can understand how she'd be upset; she's lived there for about 40 years. This is my last week at work. JOY! I finally balanced my bank account yesterday (I hadn't done it since March), and I have a little over $1000. After I get this week's paycheck and next week's (which will cover me through this week), I'll have about $1300. Life is good. posted 12:28 PM / post 8/4/2002 It's never too late to make it right.posted 4:36 AM / post |
