Ellie has a new design now (compliments of me, of course ^_^), so go look!

The play is over. :( Now I have nothing to do after school. Which is partly nice, but it also means I don't get to see any of the drama people anymore, since I don't have classes with them. But the play was fantastic! I'll have to order a copy of the tape they made.

And now prom is over, too. I had a good time, though, so I'm glad I went. When the pictures come back, I'll have to post them.

Only four more weeks of high school. I'm happy as hell (all Saint James seniors are) to be graduating, but it's sad, too. I'm gonna miss these people.

Well, I never did have time to finish updating my Audrey site, so I submitted the same one. I only got an honorable mention. Looking at their little grading sheet, I was really pissed off. It's one of those with categories of different points, like 1-5 for "just okay," 6-8 for "good," and 8-10 for "inspired;" I don't know, something like that. And I generally got the middle category. They said I didn't use enough "supplements," meaning, I think, all those stupid website elements that newbies use and everyone else finds annoying as hell. Like flashing text, embedded midis, and those awful java boxes that ask you for your name and greet you everytime you go back to the index. They said my idea wasn't original enough, or inspiring, or something. And I'm thinking.. Okay.. Just how many teenagers do -you- know who would make a site like this for an actress from the 50's and 60's? And I think it said I didn't put much work in it, but hey, I think spending three hours writing her biography is pretty damn good, thankyouverymuch.

*cough* Anyway. Forget it. I don't care. Screw 'em. ^_^ In other news, the play has been going very well. The first night, the cow's head fell off, but they covered it so well, people we're sure whether we meant to, or not. It also helped that we did it deliberately the next night. ^_^ And last night... Well, for one thing, Jackson's mic fell off during his solo, so he was jumping around the stage, singing, and holding his mic in one hand. ^_^ Not to mention there was a big hole in his pants... But anyway, I didn't end up having to play Snow White, thank God, but tonight (which is the last night), I have to play Sleeping Beauty because LeGrand is genuinely sick. She has been all week, but she's been coming anyway. The poor thing spent all last night sleeping in the back room until she had to go on. Anyway, her mother isn't letting her come tonight, so I'm doing it. It's basically the same part as Snow White's, so it's not difficult or anything. It just means I have to wear a big pink dress. *sigh* Have I mentioned that pink is -not- my color? Oh well. It could be worse.

And tomorrow night is prom. There are 8 of us going out to dinner beforehand. That should be fun. ^_^ This morning, though, our jackass of a principal lectured us on drinking. Again. Of course, he went out and bought a kind of "breathalizer" type thing. You breathe into something that looks like a flashlight, and if it has an alcohol content of.. I dunno, .03? It lights a red light. Of course, after -that- lecture, I guarantee that half the senior class will drink at dinner just to spite him. ^_^ Have I mentioned how much we hate him? I have? Okay then, just checking.

I have my new car now. Yay me! It's 7:33 on Sunday night, I haven't started my paper, I need to get my updated Audrey site working for the state competition tomorrow, and the play starts tomorrow night. It looks like I'll be playing Snow White. Joy. Someone remind me to shoot Nolen for not showing up at rehearsal today. I mean, really, it's not that difficult a part. All she has to do is walk across the friggin' stage, yawn, and say "Excuse me." Does that sound hard to you? Ugh.

The Nice News Story of the Day and the Amusing News Story of the Day.

^_^

In other news: I still don't have my new car. If I don't by this afternoon, there will be hell to pay. Secondly, I have a wedding to go to tomorrow, and play practice on Sunday, which starts at 12:00 and lasts God knows how long. Yet sometime during those two days, I have to do quite a bit of economics homework that I don't understand and write an essay on Wuthering Heights. Wish me luck. ^_^

I forgot to mention it, but I'm getting a new car. ^_^ Woo! We decided on the Oldsmobile Alero. It should look like the one pictured below, a 2001 in sandstone.

It's supposed to be here today or tomorrow. WOOHOO! No more crappy jeep for me. ^_^

In other news: The spring musical Into the Woods begins next Monday night. All this week after school we're running the entire show. Yesterday, I didn't leave school until 7:30. That's almost 3 and a half hours. Apparently, it's not actually going to be that long. Thank God. Now they just have to manage to shave off that extra half an hour. ^_^ Otherwise, it's all good. Wish us luck, and pray I don't break any sound equipment. ^_^
