I completely bombed an English test this morning. Not a great way to start off the day.

I also just realized I have a test on six chapters of economics on Friday. And I need to write an English paper by then. Monday, there's the second half of the econ. test. Tomorrow I have an econ. quiz. Saturday I'll be at Huntingdon most of the day for their scholarship interviews.

It's times like this when I think.... Screw it.

Sometimes I just have to tell myself it's not important.. That I don't have to worry about it. Sure, I'll probably study, and then I'll probably fail again. But I'm not going to let myself care.

As soon as I get through this hellish week, Ellie and I are going to go see The Mexican, and then I can forget about all of it, at least for a couple of hours.

Okay. Done venting now. Back to computer class.

I got a lot of work done this weekend. I haven't put together a whole website in two days in a very long time. But I did it. My site to audrey is now up and running.

What made me do it so fast? Well, there's a computer science fair type thingy next Saturday that my advanced computer class was asked to be in. We all were supposed to submit something, but we didn't have to do it. I opted not to since I was so busy with other school work at the time (about two weeks ago). The teacher signed me up under the web design category anyway, though, in case I changed my mind. So two weeks go by, and I don't have anything to do in class... And Friday, he tells us what the first prize is. A $16,000 scholarship to Huntingdon. Damn. So. I told him I wanted to try and put something together over the weekend, and I decided that I would enter my finished Audrey Hepburn site as my project.

On another note, I'm screwed when it comes to prom. Two guys I might possibly want to go with are out, and I just found out my back-up has a girlfriend, and she's taking him to our prom. These next two months should be ever so much fun.

Pbbt. I can't believe they charged me $10 just to modify my domain. By the way, don't try to go there for another day or two. It was up and running, but one of their servers died, or something, and I had to change one of the server listings on my DNS registry. I did that last night, so it'll be at least a couple more days before it processes. Then it'll be working again.

Blah.

I'm feeling ever so much better. Unfortunately, that means I have to go back to school tomorrow. But 2 days out of 5 isn't all that bad. ^_^

I'll be really happy when I get all my projects finished. I'm trying to get... *counting* ...umm.. at least four new websites up as soon as possible, plus my Audrey Hepburn site sometime after that. First on my list is The Four Guardians, which will be hosted on my new domain, crystalline.nu, which is functional now, by the way, in case you want to take a look.

I have a little more than three months to go in high school. After that, I'm FREE! And Saint James can burn in hell for all I care. Although technically, I don't believe in hell.. But you get the point, I'm sure. ^_^

Well. I need to work on more Moondance coding (sorry, I forgot to mention it, but I'm the new nonfiction designer). I want to get my part done ASAP so I don't have to worry about another deadline.

Buh-bye! ^_^

The lecture was wonderful. She talked for about an hour and a half, and then opened the floor for questions/comments. We heard some interesting (and sad) stories. She was a fantastic speaker. Very direct, sort of casual (ever seen a nun wearing a plaid jacket?), and she made some pretty good jokes. ^_^ I bought a copy of the book and had it signed after the lecture. Hopefully, I'll have time to actually read it soon.

Dinner beforehand was also fun. We ended up eating outside on the terrace at two tables. 10 of us in all. And of course, Browning (the prof) wasn't there 30 seconds before he lit up. Hell, by the time we left, two of the other guys did, too. Doesn't say much for "teacher supervision," does it? ^_^ But we did have fun, I must say..

And now I must get back to work.. I think there's more for me to do on the Red Cross project. Tell you more about that later. ^_^ Oh! Charlie and kitty are coming home tomorrow! I get to see kitty. *does her little happy dance*

Sorry. I just got back from free lunch. I'm hyper.

Buh-bye!

After Kellea blogged about this hosting company a few days ago, I went and checked them out. I couldn't find any loopholes, or anything... So, I opened an account and bought a new domain name. ^_^ 34SP.com is now hosting crystalline.nu for $56 a year. I get most of the benefits (the ones I use, anyway) that I already do for ilithyia.net at HiSpeed and 125 MB. What more could I ask for? ^_^ If I do happen to have any trouble with them, I'll let ya know. But right now, I'm still in my happyhappy state. ^_^

Tonight, my Literature and the Community class is going to dinner at Sinclair's, and then we're going to a lecture at Huntingdon College(which I'll be attending next fall) given by the author of Dead Man Walking, Sister Helen Prejean. I'm not sure what the actual subject of the speech is... But I'll be sure to write about it later.

It doesn't seem to have been that long since my last vacation, but I'm already looking forward to the next one.. Unfortunately, I think it's more than a month away. I have been finding it easier to make myself go to school lately, though. I mean took my first "sick-day" on Friday in about two or three months; that's pretty good for me. ^_^

I'm going to have nothing to do on the weekends for months now. Ellie's going to be out of town for something every weekend for ages.. What am I supposed to do? *sniffle* I see a lot of movie rentals in my future.

Would you like to know how pathetic I am? I miss my brother's cat so much, I printed off a copy of one of his photos, and then put it in a frame right behind my keyboard so I can look at it whenever I'm at the computer. ^_^ He's just so cute...

I just realized I should probably be looking for a prom dress soon. Not to mention a date. I hate this part. Actually, I don't even much care for the prom part itself, either.. But it's my senior year, and I'll be damned if I miss it. ^_^
