Wow. I can't believe it's been so long since I blogged. I have some catching up to do!

First things first.. My beautiful little guinea pig, Adele, died last Friday. She was my second one to die within 2-3 weeks of buying it, and I think I'm going to take this as a sign. I'm afraid I'd be dooming the poor little thing just by buying it. ^_^ Maybe I'll try it again later. For now, I'll just calmly wait out my last year at home, and when I move out for college, I'll get the kitty I always wanted. ^_^

Secondly.. My wacko brother bleached his hair blond. I couldn't believe it. That's one hell of a thing to wake up to in the morning. ^_^ Unfortunately, the style he used to wear his hair in just doesn't work with this bleach-blond thing.. But he said when he got back to Tuscaloosa he was having it cut, so hopefully it's better now. ^_^

Iliad Day last Friday absolutely sucked. That's the day my school sets aside for signing yearbooks (last year's yearbooks; don't ask me why we don't get them at the end of the year 'cause I don't know..). Ellie was away on a Debate tournament and Heather was at the beach.. So it only took me about half an hour to get the rest of the signatures I wanted, and I still had over an hour before school officially let out. So I grabbed my stuff, went out the science lab door in the back and went on home. ^_^ It's lovely to have a car. Absolutely lovely.

My advanced computer class has been put in charge of re-designing the school website. I would absolutely love this, except for a couple of things.. First off, Branning seems determined to use a watermarked image as the background of the site. Now, I don't know how it's supposed to look, but what he showed us was HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE, I TELL YOU! I am this far from screaming out in the middle of the class, "NO! Please, it's terrible! You're blinding me! Stop!" *shudder* Secondly, he seems to want to divide the site into sections and have each person in the class handle each one. WHAT IS HE THINKING?! ARGH! If I allow myself to be associated with this madness, I'll just die.. I'm thinking of asking if I can do my own version of the site to submit to Mr. Bell (the headmaster). If they don't like it, at least I'll have something else for my portfolio. *shrug*

This week is gonna suck. I have a test on Macbeth tomorrow and Wednesday, a Shakespeare project due on Friday (and I could swear there was something else associated with Macbeth due..), a political facts quiz on Wednesday for Government class and a Constitution test on Thursday. I still haven't heard from Brantwood when I can start working.. So till then, I have no 7th period class on Thursdays.. Which is nice, mind you, but not how it's supposed to work. ^_^

I suppose that's enough rambling for now.. Gotta get some reading done.

Oh, I almost forgot. This weekend, my dad finally got our ISDN line working, so no more dial-up! YAY! I now get to download and upload at a speed of about 7.5 k/s as opposed to the old 4 k/s. And that was optimum. Oh joy and happiness. ^_^

Sorry about the non-blogging, but I've been in sort of a lethargic state when it comes to the computer this past week. I pretty much just checked my email and nothing else.

Where to start.. Well, I watched a great movie last night. Up Close and Personal with Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford. I wanted to see it in the theater when it came out, but I wasn't able to. So five years later, I finally see it on TV. ^_^ It was absolutely fantastic, even though I never really like movies with sad endings.

Charlie was home this weekend, and this afternoon we went out and got him a cat. ^_^ She's absolutely adorable! This little tabby with really long claws. ^_^ She still has to get her shots and everything. I think we're calling her Lucy. Charlie was thinking of calling his cat Lucifer (don't ask me why), but since that doesn't work for a girl, we shortened it.

Oy.. I have work to do.
